Catties partipate in the game of Rat Puck much in the same way that caddies participate in that sissy Scottish game of golf. Catties help clear the furway of patrons and other good gentles so that no one is struck by rats flying at high velocity. This takes LOTS of patience and good cheer. I honestly don't know how us Rat Puckers would manage to keep the furway clear without our reliable catties.

Catties also act as spotters for rats gone far astray off the furway. Without the keen eyes of the catties many a'pucker would have lost his rat for good. Although I sure Emrys Fleet would appreciate the extra adoption business at the Rodent Adoption Transfer Station (RATS), it is always a touching sight to witness a pucker reunited with his most favorite puckin' rat. *Sniff*

One of the most important services performed by catties is to carry the drinks of the Rat Puckers. In fact, some local puckin' rules state that in order to drink while puckin' one must have cattie -- ya can't carry yer own ale! Imagine that! Outrageous! Of course, any pucker with a cattie who provides this service is obligated to make sure that she has something to drink as well. It's only fair, after all! Consider it "payment for services rendered." *Wink*
